Vaio has just launched a new series of affordable notebooks called the FE and it's available in two sizes.

The Vaio FE 14 features a 14.1-inch Full-HD display, while the larger Vaio FE 15 features a 15.6-inch Full-HD display.

The Vaio FE 14 weighs 1.56kg while the Vaio FE 15 tips the scales at 1.85kg. Both are available only in one colourway: Modern Grey.

Inside, both models can be equipped with either a Core i5-10210U or Core i7-10510U processor.

The Vaio FE 14 and FE 15 can be equipped with up to 16GB of memory and can be fitted with up to 1TB of fast SSD storage.

The Vaio FE 15, thanks to its larger chassis, can accommodate an additional 1TB HDD for extra storage.

Both notebooks have identical ports. They have a single USB-C port (data only), two USB-A 3.1 ports, a single USB-A 2.0 port, a full-size HDMI port, a Gigabit Ethernet jack, and an SD card reader.

As for wireless connectivity, it's worth noting that the two notebooks support the older Wi-Fi 5 standard and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Vaio FE 14 has a 37.6Wh battery while the Vaio FE 15 has a 41.6Wh battery. Though these batteries are rather small by modern standards, Vaio claims a battery life of up to 7 hours for both models.

The Vaio FE 14 and Vaio FE 15 will be available starting 20 Nov 2020 and you can find them on Vaio NexstMall, Hachi.tech, and selected Challenger stores.

Four configurations are available and prices start from S$1,399.
