U.S expected to delay Huawei full ban for another three months

Huawei is believed to be getting another reprieve from the Trump administration's ban.

According to documents filed by the U.S Commerce Department, the Trump administration has decided to extend the temporary general license to Huawei and 114 of its non-US affiliates on the Entity List till 16 February 2020.

The justification of extending the temporary license is similar to the previous one; it authorizes certain activities, including those necessary for the continued operations of existing networks and equipment, as well as the support of existing mobile services, including cybersecurity research criticial to maintaining the integrity and reliability of existing and fully opertional networks and equipment.

In response to the news, a Huawei spokesperson said that the extension "won't have a substantial impact on Huawei's business either way" and "does not change the fact that Huawei continues to be treated unfairly."
