An updated iPhone SE model might arrive early next year
Existing iPhone SE users have something to look forward as Apple is said to be launching an upgraded model early next year.
Citing information from India, online publication Focus Taiwan claims that production of the new iPhone SE model would take place in the South Asian country. Apple has reportedly signed a deal with Taiwan-based electronics maker Wistron to build the new phone.
The new iPhone SE is rumored to sport the same design as the current model, but will be powered by the A10 processor and a 1,700mAh battery. It will be available in the Indian market first before hitting retail shelves in other global markets.
iGeneration reported in late July that Apple could announce a new iPhone SE this month although the lack of leaks on the device suggests otherwise. The iPhone SE is positioned as an affordable option for price-conscious consumers and could help Apple increase its share in the lucrative Indian market.
