The EOS 1500D is an entry-level DSLR that Canon calls the ‘Easy EOS’

Updated 28/3/18 with pricing and availability for Singapore.

The EOS 1500D is an entry-level DSLR that Canon called the ‘Easy EOS’ during its local introduction. Likely because the camera is designed for the beginner and is easy on the wallet. The camera features a 24MP APS-C sensor with a Digic 4+ image processor.

The EOS 1500D comes with Canon’s Feature Guide, which helps beginners learn how to use the camera. Six scene modes on the Mode dial also help users get optimal settings for different subjects.

The EOS 1500D shoots Full-HD video at 30/25/24p. It has a continuous shooting speed of up to three frames per second, with a maximum native ISO of 6,400 (expandable to ISO 128,000).

The EOS 1500D comes with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity to share images with a smartphone. The EOS M50, which was announced at the same time, has a leg up over the EOS 1500D when it comes to connectivity. The M50 comes with additional Bluetooth support, which lets it automatically transfer images to a smartphone after capture.

The Canon EOS 1500D with a 18-55mm kit lens will be available in Singapore for S$729, from end March.
