The upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Pro could be an iterative update

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Huawei has been bringing many innovative features with its smartphones for the past two years, but the momentum seems to have slowed down for the upcoming Mate 30 series.

Insider sources claim that the Mate 30 Pro will come with a 6.71-inch AMOLED display with a built-in fingerprint sensor. It is also said to be powered by a 7nm Kirin 985 chipset, the Balong 5000 5G modem, and a 4,200mah battery which supports 55W fast wired charging and reverse wireless charging up to 10W. It is also expected to come with four rear cameras (primary, telephoto, ultra-wide and 3D ToF).

Based on these rumored specs, the successor of the Mate 20 Pro will not bring any game-changing features to the table. The Mate 20 Pro has a slightly smaller display (6.39-inch), is powered by a 7nm processor (Kirin 980) and has a 4,200mAh battery. It supports 40W SuperCharge and reverse wireless charging of up to 5W.
