Gotta… collect them all?

Global apparel retailer Uniqlo are launching a series of Pokemon UT collections from this month onwards. The first two collections arrive on 28 May, titled Pokemon All-Stars and Dreaming Pokemon. These two collections are meant to appeal to Pokemon fans of all ages.

The Pokemon All-Stars UT collection is probably what most fans will go for first. This collection pulls popular Pokemon like Pikachu, Gengar, Jigglypuff and Mew together for a variety of T-shirt designs. Different designs are available in the men, women and kids’ ranges.

You’ll notice that the men and women’s ranges lean more on Pokemon from the Kanto and Johto regions, probably because those are the two generations of Pokemon most older fans are familiar with. Meanwhile, the kids’ range of clothing sport Galar Pokemon from Pokemon Sword and Shield, the latest mainline game in the franchise kids are more likely to have played.

The Dreaming Pokemon UT collection is geared more towards babies. This range comprises sweat-wicking infant pajamas with dry technology, to keep kids fresh and dry while they sleep. The clothes feature designs from some of Pokemon’s most adorable monsters - like Eevee, Mareep, Pikachu and more. The entire collection comes in a soft, pastel colour palette to really drive the ‘dream’ theme home.

Uniqlo have also teased that more Pokemon UT collections are in the pipeline too, including a mysterious collaboration with a ‘popular artist’. We’ll have to wait and see what else they have up their sleeves! You can find information on the Pokemon All-Stars UT collection here, and the Dreaming Pokemon UT collection here.

Sinnoh fans are a little sidelined with these UT collections, but at least they're getting Diamond and Pearl remakes and a new open-world game soon!

Update 1: Due to recent heightened Covid-19 measures, UNIQLO are postponing the release date of these Pokemon UT collections. A new launch date will be announced via the company's social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.

Update 2: UNIQLO has announced that the collections will be launched on 21 June.
