Twitter to stop counting photos and links in 140-character limit

Wordsmiths rejoice! According to a Bloomberg report, Twitter will soon stop counting links and photos towards its 140 character limit, giving users the freedom to compose more verbose tweets.

According to Bloomberg's anonymous source, the change could happen in the next two weeks.

Part of the appeal of Twitter is its character limit that restricts the amount of information shared in one post. But users have long asked that photos, links and @usernames not count against the character limit. It looks like at least two of those items will no longer be sucking up valuable tweet real estate.
