Tt eSports has unveiled the Level 10 M Advanced, an upgraded version of the Level 10 M gaming mouse that launched back in 2012. While it retains the characteristic design of its predecessor, the Level 10 M Advanced comes with new features like a higher resolution sensor, customizable RGB illumination and improved ergonomics.

The new 16,000DPI Avago 9800 laser sensor is good for multi-display setups, and is almost double that of the original Level 10 M’s 8,200DPI sensor. The software supports DPI tuning in increments of 100DPI, which should be enough for most users, but we’d have liked to see support for more minute adjustments.

The Level 10 M Advanced also gains a few additional buttons over its predecessor. It now has a total of 10 – up from seven previously – that can be customized with macro commands of your choosing. The left and right click buttons utilize Omron switches, which are good for up to 50 million clicks. As expected, the mouse comes with an ARM-based 32-bit microcontroller that has 64KB of built-in flash memory, so you’ll also be able to preserve your settings across different PCs.

But all these features are par for the course, and what really distinguishes the mouse are features like the 2D-steering axis that lets you adjust the angle and height of the mouse body. The signature honeycomb shell also serves a functional purpose, and supposedly helps improve breathability and reduces the discomfort from sweaty palms. Then there's the 5-axis button on the left side grip, which can be moved in four directions, in addition to being depressed.

According to Thermaltake, the side grips have also been redesigned to provide a more ergonomic grip. A base plate has been added to the left side to accommodate a wider range of hand sizes, while the right grip has been tweaked to allow your pinky to rest more naturally on the side.

Finally, RGB lighting has been added in the form of things like an illuminated scroll wheel and the Tt eSports logo below the honeycomb mesh. You’ll have your pick of 16.8 million colors and various lighting effects, allowing you to add a little panache to your overall setup.

The Level 10 M Advanced costs US$69.99, and we’ll update if and when we have more information on local availability and pricing.
