There's a very good chance TP-Link's new Archer AXE200 Omni router is the most outrageous that we have seen announced at CES 2022.

Why? Because it has robotic antennas that move themselves. Take a look below.

According to TP-Link, the antennas move to boost Wi-Fi coverage. Users can set it to move automatically or customise their orientation in the app.

While it's undeniably cool, their effectiveness remains to be seen and we'll have to wait for these routers to go on sale to find out.

Even without the self-moving antennas, this is one cutting-edge router. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and broadcasts three networks supporting speeds of up to 4,804Mbps on its 6GHz and 5GHz bands and 1,148Mbps on its 2.4GHz band.

It also has high-speed wired connectivity. It has a single 10Gbps WAN port and another 2.5Gbps WAN port. It also has four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.

The Archer AXE200 Omni also supports EasyMesh so you can pair it with compatible routers to create a mesh network.

Availability and pricing

According to reports, the Archer Omni AXE200 will ship later this year for US$499.99 (~S$678).

Sadly, no word yet on local availability and pricing but we will update this article when we know more.
