These iOS devices will receive iOS 11 update on 19 Sep

Apple announced yesterday at the iPhone 8 launch event that iOS 11 would be arriving on 19 September. However, it did not elaborate on stage which iOS devices would be eligible for the update. Shortly after the event, Apple updated its website with the list of compatible devices.

For the iPhone, iOS 11 is compatible with models as far back as the four-year-old iPhone 5s. For the iPad, iOS 11 is compatible with all models starting from the iPad mini 2 and iPad Air. The software update is also available for the iPod touch (sixth generation).

iOS 11 was unveiled in June at WWDC 2017. Some of the major features include better iPad productivity, a new App Store, an enhanced Messages app and a revamped Control Center. We've also compiled 17 iOS 11 tidbits that didn't make it to the keynote for your quick reference.
