Apple's Unleashed event tomorrow is likely to see the debut of new MacBook Pros.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman gives a recap of some of the likely specs of the new notebooks. Gurman claims there will be new screen sizes (14-inch and 16-inch) with higher-resolution mini-LED technology. According to one of his anonymous sources, the new resolutions (3,024 x 1,964 pixels and 3,456 x 2,234 pixels) have started to appear in app analytics.

Gurman reiterates that the MagSafe power adapter is making a comeback on the MacBook Pro. This will bring "faster" charging speeds. In addition, the new MacBook Pros will do away with the Touch Bar.

Apple reportedly "tested versions of the new models" with a SD memory card slot, HDMI port and even the USB-A port. While both MacBook Pro models will be equipped with 10 CPU cores (8 high-performance and two energy-efficient cores), consumers can select GPU configurations of 16 and 32, and RAM options of 32GB and 64GB.

It remains to be seen how Apple will brand the next-generation of Apple Silicon. The anonymous source says there are logs of "M1 Pro" and "M1 Max", but Gurman thinks Apple may differentiate the two chips with "X" and "Z" moniker, with the latter representing better graphics performance.

Last, but not least, Gurman thinks Apple is still working on "a new, half-sized Mac Pro, a low-end MacBook Pro, an upscale MacBook Air, a high-end Mac mini and a new larger iMac".
