The Samsung Galaxy Fold.

Several rumoured display specs of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 have been revealed by Korean site ETNews.

The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to have a 7.7-inch internal display with a resolution of 2,213 x 1,689 pixels, an 11.8:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. There will be punch holes for the front-facing cameras on the internal display. Similar to the report by DDaily, ETNews claims the Galaxy Fold 2 will also be using Ultra Thin Glass (UTG).

As for the external display, the Galaxy Fold 2 is said to sport a 6.23-inch panel with a resolution of 2,267 x 819 pixels, a 24.9:9 aspect ratio, and 60Hz refresh rate.

If true, these display specs are considered a significant upgrade over the current Galaxy Fold; it is equipped with a 7.3-inch internal display (2,152 x 1,536 pixels) and a 4.6-inch external display (720 x 1,680 pixels).

Samsung is reportedly planning to manufacture about three million units of the Galaxy Fold 2. Production is slated to begin next month with a goal of producing 300,000 units every month. The Galaxy Fold 2 is believed to be announced alongside the Galaxy Note20 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5G in early August and retail availability could be towards the end of August.
