At the recently concluded Rocky Mountain Audio Festival, MrSpeakers announced its eagerly anticipated AEON Flow Open headphones.

These are open-back versions of its earlier AEON Flow Closed headphones, which debuted earlier this year.

Like the closed-back versions, the new AEON Flow Open headphones uses MrSpeakers' own V-Planar planar magnetic driver and TrueFlow waveguide technology.

The AEON Flow Open also has MrSpeakers' signature highly flexible NiTinol memory metal and leather headband.

These are relatively efficient headphones with a rating of 95dB/mW and have a low impedance of 13 ohms. This means they should be able to play quite well without any amplification.

But, of course, if you are already spending this much on a pair of headphones, you might as well give them some decent amplification so that they can perform to their full potential.

Speaking of which, the AEON Flow Open has the same price as its closed-back sibling - S$1,199

The AEON Flow Open will be available in Singapore sometime in November.
