The International 2019 is underway!

The International is one of the biggest esports events of the year and it’s well underway, with 16 teams of players battling it out in Dota 2 for the coveted Aegis of Champions trophy. They also get a piece of the massive prize pool, which is currently sitting at around at almost US$34 million

The International’s final slate of matches began on August 19 and will end on August 25, where we’ll find out which one of these teams gets crowned champion.

You can check out the teams left in the competition as of day 2 in the table below, provided by Wykrhm Reddy on Twitter

As you can see, most of the upper bracket matches are done with. Teams who lose upper bracket go to the lower bracket, and if they lose again, they end up eliminated from the competition entirely. Only 10 of the 16 teams remain now, as a result. The stakes are pretty high, and it’s only getting higher from here on out.

Day 3 will see 4 matches. Newbee will go up against Infamous Gaming, Team Secret will go against Mineski, PSG.LGD will battle Vici Gaming, and OG will fight Evil Geniuses at the end of the day.

All in all, this makes for a really solid day of intense matches for Dota 2 fans! If you have the time, you might want to catch a game or two on the official Dota Twitch channel above.

In the meantime, keep tuning back as we bring you daily updates on the finals.
