This tempered glass screen protector is approved for the Galaxy S10

Samsung introduced the world's first ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10/S10+. While it can work with wet fingers and is more secure than optical fingerprint sensors, tempered glass screen protectors could render its function useless.

As the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor uses inaudible sound waves to read the 3D surface area of the finger, the thickness and air gap beneath a tempered screen protector could be a barrier for the sound waves.

There is only one brand of tempered glass screen protector which is certified to work with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10/S10+. Whitestone Dome claims its tempered glass screen protector is the "exclusive solution" for ultrasonic fingerprint recognition due to its Advanced Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive (LOCA) technology which prevents microspaces in between the device and the Dome Glass. Whitestone Dome is also a partner for Samsung Mobile Accessory Partnership Program.

You can try other tempered glass screen protectors, but they are not guaranteed to work properly. You can also go for plastic screen protectors as they are confirmed to work perfectly with the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Samsung already has one pre-installed on each Galaxy S10 model.
