Technics' has just announced the EAH-A800, a flagship-class over-ear wireless headphone that has the likes of Sony and Apple in its sights.

Like any headphone of its class, the EAH-A800 features active noise cancellation that uses two feed-forward mics and two feedback mics.

It also has a couple of listening modes. There's transparent mode which lets you hear your environment and then there's attention mode that continues to block out environment noise but emphasises voices so that you can hear important announcements while travelling.

The EAH-A800 supports Bluetooth 5.2 and battery life is an impressive 50 hours even with ANC enabled. Discerning listeners and Android users will be happy to know that LDAC is one of the supported codecs, along with AAC and SBC.
