A new RPG is always welcome.

Bandai Namco has launched a playable demo for Tales of Arise, ahead of the game’s release on 10 September, 2021. This demo lets you play a small chunk of the game, allowing you just a taste of the latest entry in the Tales franchise.

Watch a trailer for the game below:

In this demo, you’ll be able to choose between six playable characters. A small segment of Tales of Arise’s world will be available to explore, but it should be noted that none of the progress you make here will be carried over to the full game. Of course, that also means you can just mess around in this demo with zero consequences - so do what you will with that information.

Tales of Arise is set on Dahna, a planet under the iron grip of its twin planet Rena. The game follows Alphen and Shionne, two people from these opposite worlds. Fans of the Tales franchise will find that popular gameplay elements like cooking and crafting are back and expanded. Anyone who plays the demo will also get a special Vacation Hootle DLC for the full game once it launches.

The Tales of Arise demo is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The game will launch on these platforms and PC on 10 September, 2021.
