SuperSolid has announced another 27-inch screen at COMEX 2018. The SuperSolid R270 is a high refresh rate monitor for gamers who prioritize response times above all else. It uses a TN panel with a 1ms grey-to-grey response time and a 144Hz refresh rate, so you should get butter-smooth gameplay.
The 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution should appear crisp and sharp on the 27-inch display, but those of you particular about color reproduction and viewing angles may not be too thrilled with the TN panel. Still, that's the price you pay for quicker response times.
The monitor uses the same slim-bezel design as the X270, so it's well-suited for use in multi-monitor setups as well.
It supports AMD FreeSync as well, so you should enjoy a smooth and tear-free experience if you own a Radeon GPU. That said, the high refresh rate already does a lot to ensure a fluid gaming experience, so variable refresh rate technologies like FreeSync actually don't matter as much.
The display is equipped with a tilt stand, but you can also mount it on your wall using VESA-compatible mounts.
The SuperSolid R270 is launching at S$429, with an additional S$50 discount if you trade-in your working monitor (24-inches and above).
