Bang & Olufsen has announced that its new Beovision Harmony is now available in Singapore at a starting price of S$34,500.

While the Beovision Harmony should offer a great picture quality — it uses a 77-inch 4K OLED panel by LG, after all — those buying it are likely to be more attracted by its design. Based on mid-century entertainment cabinets that hide the TV behind delicate blinds, the Beovision Harmony has this pair of meticulously crafted oak and aluminium panels that fan out and a thin screen that rises to viewing height when you turn it on.

I mean, just look at this thing:

These two oak and aluminium fronts are also home to the TV’s 3-channel, fully active DSP-based sound system. Said to be tuned by hand and ear, you can also use it to play music when the TV is turned off. There’s a built-in 7.1 surround sound decoder, too, which means you can hook up the TV with up to eight Beolab speakers such as Beolab 18, Beolab 50 and Beolab 90 to get your surround sound fix.

While the Beovision Harmony takes design cues from the past, it’s stuffed with modern tech. In addition to native integration with Tune-In and Deezer, you can easily play directly from your mobile device thanks to its support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth music streaming. The TV also has Chromecast built-in. In audio mode, parts of the screen not covered by the speaker fronts will display items such as radio station and artist information.

The Beovision Harmony also runs LG’s webOS 4.5 platform, so popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Video and YouTube are all present.

Now for the price. The Beovision Harmony with a combined oak wood/aluminium front retails from S$36,000 while the Beovision Harmony in a combined Grey Melange two-tone fabric/aluminium front retails from S$34,500 (all prices exclude installation). The TV also comes with a BeoRemote and two placement options: floor stand and wall bracket.
