SteelSeries announces launch of new Siberia headset family

SteelSeries has just announced the launch of the all-new Siberia headset family of gaming audio solutions with four new headsets targeted at creating incredible new experiences for each and every gamer.

SteelSeries Siberia V3

The SteelSeries Siberia V3 leads the line-up with its iconic Siberia suspension design, and backs this up with the inclusion of next-generation SteelSeries audio drivers which deliver rich, detailed sound with plenty of bass. The headsets have been made lighter than before, and the new ear cups are filled with memory foam, providing better comfort and improved fit, as well as the side benefit of greater passive noise isolation. A single-plug cable along with a dual-jack extension makes for greater compatibility with all types of gaming devices, and a handy mute switch on the left earcup allows you to mute outgoing communication with one free hand.

Basic specs:

Headphones

  • Frequency Response: 20 – 20000 Hz
  • Impedance: 35 Ohm
  • Sensitivity: 80 dB
  • Cable Length: 1.2 m (3 ft)
  • Connectors: 3.5 mm & dual 3.5 mm PC Adapter

Microphone

  • Frequency Response: 100 – 10000 Hz
  • Pick Up Pattern: Unidirectional
  • Sensitivity: -42 dB

Price and availability to be confirmed.

Update: The Siberia V3 will be available by early November for S$159 at all major retailers.

SteelSeries Siberia V3 Prism

Like the Siberia V3, the V3 Prism features redesigned SteelSpeaker speaker drivers that help to reproduce in-game audio exactly as the game developers intended. Hear every single in-game detail for optimal situational awareness, and strike before your competition does. ColorShift illumination effects and modes are reflected in the lights on the headsets themselves and the changes can be either set by user, or triggered by game sounds and events, making them a useful secondary notification. Meanwhile, the retractable microphone features a new slimmer design and a quick mute button which can be positioned infinitely so you can bring it close to talk, or tuck it out of the way when it’s not needed.

Basic specs:

Headphones

  • Frequency Response: 20 – 20000 Hz
  • Impedance: 35 Ohm
  • Sensitivity: 80 dB
  • Cable Length: 1.5 m (5 ft.)
  • Connection Type: USB

 Microphone

  • Frequency Response: 50 – 16000 Hz
  • Pick Up Pattern: Unidirectional
  • Sensitivity: -38 dB

Price and availability to be confirmed.

Update: The Siberia V3 Prism will be available by early November for S$199 at all major retailers.

Siberia Elite Prism

A brand new Siberia Elite awaits gamers, and this features a brand new, slimmer microphone and an upgraded sound card to improve what your hear and how you are heard. Expect rich in-game sound that calls upon Dolby ProLogic IIx and Dolby Headphone technologies to create a deeply immersive soundscape in full 7.1 channel audio. Comfort is much improved with the new headset, with a refined suspension headband that both reduces tension and improves fit, and upgraded earcups with larger inner openings and super-thick memory foam cushions for a comfortable, effective seal around your ears.

Basic specs:

Speakers

  • Frequency Response: 16-28000 Hz
  • Impedance: 32 Ohm
  • Sensitivity: 120 dB

Microphone

  • Mic Pattern: Unidirectional
  • Frequency: 100 – 10000 Hz

The built-in microphone in the left earcup comes with Mic Auto Optimization technology for excellent voice communications, and the illuminated ring on each earcup again has 16.8 million colors for easy personalization. With soft mesh cushioning and an ultra-light design, the RAWPrism is comfortable enough to leave on for hours on end.
