Intel Singapore today announced a collaboration with Starhub to offer the Intel Compute Stick together with select home broadband and HomeHub subscription plans, including Starhub's 1Gbps fiber home broadband service.

The partnership makes Starhub the world's first telco to bundle the Compute Stick together with broadband subscriptions. The average consumer is probably still not used to the concept of a PC-on-a-stick, and the collaboration between the two companies will help put the Compute Stick in the hands of a larger audience and allow them to discover the capabilities and potential of Intel's pocket PC.

Equipped with support for the 802.11bgn wireless standard, the Compute Stick is poised to take advantage of Starhub's wireless broadband services and enable users to turn any HDMI-equipped display in their homes into a connected entertainment station.

And now, for the price - a detail we were lacking when we reported on the launch of the Intel Compute Stick in Malaysia. The Intel Compute Stick will cost S$229, but starting today (29 May), customers who sign up for select Starhub broadband plans at any Starhub Shop, authorized dealer or Starhub roadshow will receive the Compute Stick for free.
