We're getting a second season of Star Wars: Visions, and it's arriving on May 4 on Disney+.

The animated anthology series brought to life stories from a galaxy, far, far, away, told through the lens of some of the world's best anime creators. Unshackled from the constraints of Star Wars canon, the first volume embraced that creative freedom with everything from an alternate history featuring a Feudal Jedi Empire to the aftermath of the Battle of Exegol.

Volume 2 will build on the Emmy Award-nominated first run, comprising nine new shorts from nine studios around the globe.

The shorts promise unique animation styles from a variety of countries and cultures, each faithful to their respective filmmaker's vision of the Star Wars universe.

With studios like El Guiri, Cartoon Saloon, Punkrobot, Aardman, Studio Mir, 88 Pictures, Studio La Cachette and more, the shorts span the globe from Spain and Ireland to Chile and India.

While Volume 1 showcased the imaginative minds of Japan's anime industry, Volume 2 is more about taking audiences on a global tour of some of the most talented creators from around the world.

“The reaction to the first volume of Star Wars: Visions blew us away. We were delighted that this project inspired and resonated with so many people,” says James Waugh, Star Wars: Visions executive producer.

The nine shorts are as follows:

  • Sith
  • Screecher's Reach
  • In the Stars
  • I Am Your Mother
  • Journey to the Dark Head
  • The Spy Dancer
  • The Bandits of Golak
  • The Pit
  • Aau's Song
