Star Wars: Ahsoka live-action series will be available for streaming on Disney+ on August 23
Lucasfilm’s eagerly awaited series Star Wars: Ahsoka is slated to premiere on Disney+ on August 23 and to kindle anticipation for the series, a promotional TV spot was unveiled from the forthcoming show.
Star Wars: Ahsoka charts the journey of former Jedi Knight, Ahsoka Tano, as she delves into the probing of a nascent menace that threatens a precarious galaxy, post the downfall of the Empire.
The titular character is brought to life by Rosario Dawson, accompanied by a stellar cast that includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo playing Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, and Ray Stevenson portraying Baylan Skoll. Ivanna Sakhno appears as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi materializes as Ezra Bridger.
Dave Filoni, the scriptwriter of the series, is also an executive producer in collaboration with Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist takes on the role of co-executive producer.
Disney+ will be the exclusive home for Lucasfilm’s Ahsoka come August 23.
