Square Enix is releasing a HD remake of the JRPG Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven this Oct
The game will be available in both English and Japanese voice acting as too.

Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia and Square Enix have announced the release of Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven Singapore and the region, a full HD remake of the RPG originally released in 1993.
The game's story is set in the year 1000 of the Imperial calendar, in a world filled with enemies and political turmoil. There is an ancient legend that talks about seven great heroes destined to save the struggling kingdom. However, the story takes a turn when Avalon, the capital of the Varennes Empire falls under attack by Kzinssie, one of the supposed legendary heroes.
The heir to the imperial throne, Prince Victor is slain during the assault causing the Emperor, Leon, to use a mystical “inheritance magic” to pass his powers to his other son, Gerard. The sacrifice then marks the beginning of a multi-generational struggle between the imperial line of Varennes and the Seven Heroes.
In the game, players will guide the imperial family through a tale of revenge and redemption. In true RPG fashion, players will make choices that will shape the empire’s future and determine who inherits the throne in each successive generation.

According to the press release, the game will blend classic SaGa series elements with modern gameplay enhancements, offering both longtime fans and newcomers a fresh take on this beloved story.
With updated 3D visuals, reworked strategic gameplay, and the option to choose between Japanese and English voiceovers, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven aims to bring the classic tale back anew.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven will be available for play on the PlayStation 5/4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game will first be available on consoles on 24 October followed by PC the following day.
