More than a week after Reddit users stumbled upon an early beta version, Spotify today unveiled the first version of its Apple Watch app.

The first version of the Spotify app for the Apple Watch allows users to remotely control music playback from their wrists. For example, they can play, pause or skip songs without having to take out their phones by tapping Play from the Apple Watch.

In addition, they can save a new favorite song to their collection on the go by tapping the ♡ icon on the Apple Watch. Future versions of the Spotify app for the Apple Watch would include the ability to listen to music and podcasts offline.

Spotify is rolling out the latest version of its app (v.8.4.79) over the coming week. At the time of publication, the latest version is already available for download/update.
