Spigen shares mock-ups of cases for the Samsung Galaxy Fold
The upcoming arrival of foldable phones in the market has prompted phone case makers to figure how cases for these devices will look like and function. Spigen is one of the first to come up with a design for the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
Spigen has mock-ups of the three cases: the Tough Armor, Ultra Hybrid and Thin Fit which are mainly made up of PC, TPU and PU materials. The three cases have front covers protecting the top and bottom bezels of the 4.6-inch external display and cutouts for the triple-camera system on the back.
As for the hinge, Spigen cases appear to be just wrapping around the outside. Spigen claims it uses a "special constructive structure for bending purposes". It is still developing and testing the cases, but aims to launch them in mid-April with a price tag of around US$20.
