Google is rumored to be launching two Nexus smartphones this year and one of them is allegedly made by LG. GizmoChina claims to have obtained some of its specs and the upcoming LG Nexus seems to take some inspiration from LG's recent flagship smartphones.

According to GizmoChina, the upcoming LG Nexus phone will sport a 5.2-inch Full-HD P-OLED display, an aluminum frame with chamfered edges and a matte plastic back, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage space, a 3,180mAh battery, front-facing stereo speakers, a rear power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port with Quick Charge 2.0.

Its imaging hardware includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 6-element f/1.8 aperture lens, optical image stabilization (OIS), laser autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, a front-facing 4-megapixel camera, iris detection. The LG Nexus phone is expected to cost between US$300 - 400 (~S$415 to S$553).

Some of the alleged specs sound familiar; the most recent phone to come with a Full-HD P-OLED display is the 5.5-inch LG G Flex 2. LG has been using a rear button setup for its smartphones for more than two years and a rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and laser autofocus reminds us of the LG G4.

In another report by Korea Herald, the publication states that the fingerprint sensor of the LG Nexus will be used to launch Google's mobile payment system - Android Pay. In case you missed it, Android M - Google's next Android version - will have native support for fingerprint recognition which can be used for authenticating Google Play Store and Android Pay purchases.

The other Nexus phone will be built by Huawei which is reportedly leaked in a 10-second video on YouTube. Multiple publications and an analyst also confirmed that Huawei will be building the Nexus phone thanks to a strong relationship with Google.
