Apple may have accidentally revealed the name of its upcoming OS for the mixed reality headset.

Spotted by @IAmMatthewDavis, references to "RealityOS" have been found in the upload logs of the Apple App Store and open source code. RealityOS is believed to be the name of the AR/VR platform for Apple's mixed reality headset.

Bloomberg reported in December 2021 that the mixed reality OS will have its own App Store as it is designed for gaming, media and communication. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the headset will be powered by two processors and sport two ultra-high resolution displays with at least 6 to 8 optical modules.

Due to development challenges with the headset, Apple is now expected to unveil the device in 2023.
