Sony unveils the WF-C500 earbuds and WH-XB910N headphones
Sony just unveiled two new wireless headsets, the WF-C500 earbuds and the WH-XB910N over-ear model.
As the successor to the WF-XB700, the WF-C500 earbuds come with increased battery life (10 hours, up from 9 hours) and up to 20 hours of case recharges (up from 18). The new wireless earbuds also have Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) for a more authentic listening experience.
Other specs include IPX4 water and sweat resistance, the option to tailor the sound via Equaliser, a new ergonomic surface design for a more stable fit, support for Google Assistant and Siri, and low audio latency. The WF-C500 also can connect to other devices easier and faster through Google Fast Pair and Swift Pair features.
The WH-XB910N are noise-cancelling headphones with Dual Noise Sensor technology for a realistic and immersive listening experience. There are two built-in microphones with advanced audio signal processing for crystal clear calls. They offer up to 30 hours of battery life with a 10-minute quick charge giving up to 4.5 hours of extra playtime.
In addition, they can be paired with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Another new feature of the headphones is 360 Reality Audio, which is a new spatial music experience that makes the user listen to the music as if he/she is with the artist in the recording studio.
The WF-C500 wireless earbuds are available for pre-order at US$99 and come in a variety of colour options (black, white, green, orange). The WH-XB910N wireless headphones are priced at US$249.99 and available for pre-order. They come in black, blue and gray.
