Sony’s latest PS-LX310BT turntable lets you listen to your records on wireless headphones
If you like the sound of vinyl but the idea of having to build up an entire system of speaker, phono, amplifier, pre-amp and turntable seems daunting, then Sony’s PS-LX310BT is just the thing for you. It comes with a built-in Bluetooth transmitter, so you can easily enjoy that vinyl sound from a wireless speaker, soundbar, or headphones.
The LX310BT also features one-step auto playback, so it will lower its tone arm onto the groove to get the music flowing. When the record ends, the tone arm will automatically return to its resting position, so all you need to do is change the record out.
The turntable also comes with a Gain Select switch that lets you choose between low, mid and high gain settings to best match the audio level of your record. It also comes with a built-in phono pre-amp, so can be used with amplifiers that only have line-level connection.
Taking your records with you is also a snap thanks to its built-in USB output, which allows you to easily digitize your records. The tone arm is built of sturdy aluminum for better traceability, while the aluminum die cast platter offers great sound balance and clearer playback of music. Finally, the dust cover muffles acoustic pressure from speakers, giving better stability, less distortion and better playback.
The PS-LX310BT will be available in selected Sony Stores, Sony Centres and authorized Sony dealers from May 2019. Local RRP is has not been announced. More information from the product page here.
