Sony has announced the launch of the Reon Pocket 5, a wearable cooling and warming device designed to hang behind a person’s neck to cool or warm the body surface at the point of contact with the body.

It works to keep users either warm or cool no matter what the ambient temperature is with its thermo-module and newly structured heat dissipation fan which offers improved cooling efficiency and airflow, resulting in up to 1.5 times higher cooling performance compared to the previous model Sony added.

Pair the Reon Pocket 5 together with a Reon Pocket Tag and you get a duo that uses eight sensors and software to deliver the most accurate temperature control with a battery life of up to 10 hours. This is an improvement over the first model we covered that only had a battery life of two hours.
