Remember the PlayStation Portal that was announced almost a year ago? Well, it's finally coming to Singapore on 4 September, according to a Sony press release.
The PS Portal will be available for pre-order from 5 August, at local retailers including the Sony Stores. You can check the full list of participating retailers here. It will also have a suggested retail pricing of S$295.90.
Formerly christened as Project Q, the PS Portal is designed primarily to stream PlayStation 5 (PS5) games over Wi-Fi, leveraging an eight-inch LCD screen which showcases a 1080p resolution at 60fps. You cannot install nor run games on it without the PS5 switched on.
A standout feature of the handheld is its integrated controllers on either side, bearing a striking resemblance to Sony’s flagship PS5 DualSense controllers. These embedded controllers will support both adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, promising gamers a tactile experience closely mirroring that of the PS5's dedicated DualSense controller.
