Sony Honda Mobility to unveil its first EV at CES 2023

Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) will be making an announcement onstage during Sony's press conference on 4 January at CES 2023 in Las Vegas.

The teaser image suggests the announcement will be about its first electric vehicle (EV). SHM says the EV is capable of Level 3 autonomous driving in certain conditions and Level 2+ in a wider range of scenarios. 

SHM is a joint venture between Sony and Honda. The latter will be offering its vehicle manufacturing knowledge and engineering skills while Sony is expected to offer infotainment services. Pre-orders for the EV should be available in the first half of 2025.
