Sony has announced its 16K screen that is currently being put together at a new research center. The center is located in the premises of Japanese cosmetics group Shiseido, in the city of Yokohama, Japan.

The screen measures 19.2 meters in length, and 5.4 meters in height. It’s so tall (about the height of an adult giraffe) that it stretches between the first and second floors of the research center. In terms of length, it’s comparable to a London double-decker bus.

The device features 132.7 megapixels, i.e., 16 times more pixels as a 4K display, and 64 times the pixel count of a regular full HD display. The 16K display was made known by Sony at National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
