SINGAPORE – Sony today announces the launch of PlayMemories Studio, as part of the “PlayMemories” series which offers unprecedented ease of viewing, editing and sharing high quality photos and videos on a variety of devices including LCD TVs, personal computers, tablets and smartphones. PlayMemories Studio is the latest enhancement to the series that includes PlayMemories Home and PlayMemories Mobile, which were launched in January this year.

Taking advantage of the high processing power of the PlayStation 3, users can freely zoom and scroll videos and photos, and easily edit High Definition (HD) video content as if they were playing a game. They allow users to list and play images in chronological order, by geotags or user-defined image lists respectively. In addition to the videos and photos stored on PS 3, content stored on cameras, external hard drives and storage devices connected via USB can be viewed without the need to transfer to PS 3.

Editing: By using action tags, adding visual and sound effects such as slow motion and frame by frame playback, or inserting captions and script to the images are as simple as playing a game.

Picture Motion Browser (PMB) users will also be able to download PlayMemories Home for free from 27 March 2012. Users who wish to download PlayMemories Home, will be prompted when they use PMB.

PlayMemories Studio will be available in Asia Pacific from 28 March 2012 onwards on the PlayStation Store.
