Software update brings dedicated camera night mode to the Galaxy S10

Note: First published on 21st April 2019, the software update is now available to local users in Singapore.

Samsung recently rolled out a software update which comes with a highly sought-after feature: night mode.

Aside from including the latest Android security patch (dated April 2019), Samsung included a dedicated Night mode for the camera app on the Galaxy S10. Previously, the phone would decide when to use the Bright Night mode and it was only activated under extremely low light situations.

On paper, the dedicated night mode for the Galaxy S10 puts Samsung on par with the likes of Huawei and Google. However, low light imaging performance for the Galaxy S10 remains inferior to Huawei's Night Mode. At time of publication, it seems that the software update is not yet available for local users.

Update: This software update is now being pushed out to all local Samsung S10 owners.
