Skype reminds everyone that they can do video calls without the app or account

Skype's Meet Now feature allows you to setup a group video call and invite participants even if they do not have an account.

While Zoom struggles to address its growing list of security and privacy issues, Skype is taking the opportunity to remind everyone that its platform is free for everyone to use even if they don't have an account.

Skype shared in a tweet that its Meet Now feature is a simple, hassle-free way to connect with others with no sign-ups or downloads required. You can generate a free unique link with one click, share it with participants and enjoy unlimited meetings on Skype.

Skype's Meet Now feature is slightly better than Zoom as the latter requires a meeting host to have an account and the app to start the call although participants don't need either.
