One day after M1's announcement about its iPad's price plans, SingTel has also officially announced theirs. Unlike their competitor, business will be initially conducted online; users can purchase the tablet at www.singtelshop.com/ipad from 12:01am Friday March 16. As an exclusive bonus for online customers, SingTel will be offering free home delivery as early as 3am on March 16, Friday.

According to SingTel, there won't be any physical launch event for the iPad. SingTel customers who wish to get their hands on the iPad won't have to make a trip down and queue through the night for the new iPad, with the telco chosing to go with an online ordering and home delivery option.

In terms of pricing and subscription, there's no major difference between the SingTel and M1 plans. With the same S$40 per month subscription, a theoretical 21Mbps download speed and 10GB of local data bundled, prices for the iPads are also exactly the same.

However, SingTel provides its existing customers with an option to subscribe to a multi-SIM plan and shave S$30 off the iPad price. However, considering how customers will need to pay S$32.10 for the one-time charge of the multi-SIM card, you can think of it as a discount on the admin charge on the multi-SIM cards.

If you prefer the brick and mortar experience, the new iPad will be available at all SingTel Shops island wide from 8:30am Friday March 16, and at selected SingTel Exclusive Retailers during normal operating hours.
