Singtel unveils price plans and early recontract offers for iPhone 13 lineup (Updated)

16 September 2021, 9.50PM update: Customers who have completed a minimum of 10 months on their contract are eligible to re-contract for the iPhone 13. Early device upgrade fees are partially or fully waivered, depending on your phone line contract with Singtel.

The waivers are as follows:

• Singtel Circle keyline customers (also known as nominated customers) who have completed a minimum of 10 months on their contract will enjoy a full waiver of the Annual Handset Upgrade Fee worth S$500.
• Non-Singtel Circle keyline customers who have completed 10 to 17 months on their current contract pay only S$350 for early device upgrade (originally S$500). This offer is only valid until 30 September 2021.
• Non-Singtel Circle keyline customers who have completed 18 to 20 months on their current contract pay S$200 for an early device upgrade (originally S$500).

A "non-Singtel Circle keyline customer" refers to Singtel users who only have XO Plus or other two-year contract phone lines, as well as Singtel Circle users who are not the keyline (main line). Singtel just released its price plans and offers to coincide with the launch of Apple's new iPhone 13 lineup. Earlier on, the telco has already started pre-registration of interest for iPhone 13 and Mini, as well as the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. To recap, pre-orders begin on 18th September and will be available in retail from 24th September.

Here are some things to take note of when going through the price plans below: 

1. Enjoy Apple services worth S$150:-
   
   
   Apple TV+: 6-month complimentary subscription
   Apple Music: 3-month complimentary subscription
   Apple Arcade: 9-month complimentary subscription
   iCloud: 12-month complimentary subscription
   
    
2. Enjoy up to S$500 off the new handset discount when signing up the phone plans with one of the following services:-
   Signing up for a New XO Plus 68 tier plan or higher, upgrading to an XO Plus 88 and above plan
   MobileSwop Unlimited Premium for device protection
   DATA X INFINITY for unlimited data access
   New Fibre Entertainment Bundle+
   
    
3.  Enjoy up to S$50 of accessories voucher when signing up for any of the following:-
   Productivity Pass for data-free access to Zoom
   Whitecoat Telehealth for free teleconsultation
   Bookful for augmented reality books
   
    
4. XO Plus 168 plan comes with a S$200 price plan voucher (issued every 21 months through your contract)
   
    

Singtel still offers their traditional Combo mobile plans which you can check at the source link below. Realistically, we don't think those plans are suitable for many in 2021 and thus we're not covering them in our report. For ultra heavy talk time needs, you can always add additional talk time to the XO Plus plans since a big data bundle is a necessity these days.
