Singapore Press Holdings expands advertising opportunities for big and small businesses

Singapore Press Holdings Ltd has added a new platform for businesses seeking to reach potential customers through the Internet.

Its subsidiary, SPH Search Pte Lt , through its local search and directory engine, rednano.sg, today launched a partnership with premium business sites which will allow them to deliver more precisely targeted advertising messages to their audiences.

Called Rednano CAN, it is a “Contextual Advertising Network” which changes the advertisements which appear on a web page according to what the reader is searching for. This makes the advertisements more relevant to the reader and is more likely to result in a purchase.

Mr Leslie Fong, Senior Executive Vice-President, Marketing Division of SPH, said: “The contextual ad network by Rednano complements the AsiaOne display ad network. Together, they offer more choices for advertisers online.

“This strengthens our integrated solution for advertisers which cover the spectrum from print to outdoor to radio to the Internet.”

For advertisers, Rednano CAN is a single entry point to reach the online audience they seek via contextual ads.

Mr Paul Jansen, CEO of SPH Search said:” Rednano CAN is an alliance of premium partners. They have websites with high quality traffic. By linking them together, Rednano CAN offers companies a simple way to advertise in pages of trusted publishers.”

The network publishers are carefully selected and invited to join Rednano CAN. This ensures the pool of websites available to advertisers remains a premium one.

The network consists of ERA, IP Mirror, iCell Network, SingaporeSights.com, FotoHub, Neuglow, BluePrint Media, SPH Magazines and SPH. Together, they have over 100 million page views monthly.

Mr Ken Chua, CEO of iCell Network said: “We are excited to be part of Rednano CAN. We are looking forward to giving our users quality text advertisements.”

Mr Loh Yew Seng, CEO of SPH Magazines added: “We are delighted to be part of the Rednano CAN premium contextual advertising network. SPH Magazines has a stable of popular websites with over 37 million page views monthly. And we are adding more to satisfy user demand.”
