LG has announced that it will be bringing audio streaming app Tidal to the LG content store on their TVs in over 50 countries and territories worldwide, including Singapore. It can be found on compatible TV models from 2018 to 2021 and need to be running on webOS versions 4.0 through 6.0.

Tidal has a library of over 70 million tracks, 250,000 videos, and more than fifty customised playlists spanning a variety of genres. Tidal’s key point is that they provide a high fidelity lossless streaming audio experience. They use MQA encoding as well as the more common FLAC. One benefit of MQA is that it results in an equally hi-resolution audio file that is much smaller in size.

A basic Tidal subscription will cost S$9.90 a month. To enjoy the MQA quality audio, the Hi-Fi tier will cost S$19.90 a month with a Family Hi-Fi plan at S$29.70 for up to six devices.
