It looks like Simba is giving “more” to its customers subscribed to its postpaid and prepaid plans valued at S$12 and above.
Besides the usual free incoming calls, SMS messages to other Simba mobiles, 100 local SMSs, and caller ID, your data usage and IDD calls have been “enhanced”.
Your local data is now usable in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This means that if you’re a subscriber to Simba’s S$12 plan, you can use your 250GB of allocated data in the three countries previously stated.
Your 7GB of roaming data is usable in more than 60 countries including popular tourist destinations like Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korean, Taiwan, and Thailand. You also get 400 minutes of IDD calls and an additional 100 minutes to Myanmar. The 100 minutes of talk time to Myanmar was added on 7 February this year.
New and existing Simba customers with plans worth S$12 & above, get to enjoy the new entitlements instantly. Simba recommends that customers subscribed to its SuperRoam10 plan retain their number and change plans to enjoy the new entitlements.
As a comparison, Zero1’s S$12 plan gives you 328GB of monthly data, 3GB of roaming data, free talk time, 100 free SMSs, free caller ID, and various other freebies.
Simba's other plans have also undergone some changes. But it seems like the usage of local data to the three countries, seems to only be applicable under the S$12 plan and S$20 plan.
