Shopee aims to jazz up online shopping with in-app live streaming and trivia quizzes

Shopee Live for major brand sellers.

Shopee has launched its in-app live streaming feature, Shopee Live that allows individual sellers as well as major brands to reach out to their intended audience in real-time.

Shopee Live is also open to the individual seller.

Shopee Live aims to bridge the gap between sellers and buyers by allowing the latter to learn more about the products sold by posing questions to sellers. At the same time, buyers can show support by tapping the “like” button, which is aptly represented by a loving heart. The purchase experience is seamless as buyers are able to purchase products during the live stream without interruption to their viewing.

Shopee Quiz allows for more buyer interaction and rewards them for their participation by giving away prizes.

Another feature to enhance the relationship between buyers and sellers is Shopee Quiz that’s a live in-app trivia quiz show. Participants can win digital tokens in the form of Shopee Coins as prizes. They also stand to win products from participating brands. This nightly game show starts at 9pm whenever there are ongoing campaigns from the supporting brands.

Shopee Quiz is a gamification feature of the Shopee mobile app to increase shoppers engagement.

The company’s aim is to enhance user experience with its mobile application as up to 95% of Shopee’s transaction are carried out on its mobile platform. Shopee, a Sea company, was first launched in Singapore in 2015, and has since expanded its reach to Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
