ShopBack to launch cross-platform price comparison tool and other features for savvy shoppers
Online bargain hunters now have an additional resource to maximise their deal-hunting sprees. ShopBack is introducing a cross-platform price comparison tool that can identify deals across popular consumer retail websites via keywords.
The tool, Product Comparison, pulls listings and deals from popular online marketplaces and ShopBack's partnered merchants to show prices of products listed on those platforms. By using the name or keywords related to the product, ShopBack's Product Comparison will generate relevant results, highlight the discounts in place, help users see price histories, and allow users to set price alerts.
According to ShopBack, the tool aggregates results from popular retail platforms, such as Lazada, Shopee, AliExpress, Amazon, BliBli, and more. It also works with merchants like Watsons, Fairprice, Adidas, iHerb, and others. ShopBack will also be expanding the number of shopping platforms it can pull from, over time.
The launch of the price comparison tool coincides with ShopBack's annual, four-month-long shopping festival (ShopFest). Between 1 September to 31 December 2020, ShopFest cuts across popular online shopping holidays such as 9.9, 10.10, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. The ShopFest festival helps shoppers take advantage of these deals even further by collating exclusive deals and enabling greater cashback options, even if they reside in various online and offline retailers all over the web.
Also joining the price comparison tool are two other initiatives. ShopBack is introducing a Vouchers system where users can get cashback and discounts when buying store credit from popular merchants. Finally, they're also gamifying savings by introducing ShopBack challenges, where bonuses and rewards sit behind specific tasks and challenges.
