At CES, Sharp has announced a 25-model-strong TV lineup for 2016. The lineup spans HD to UHD sets, with screen sizes ranging from 32 to 75 inches.

At the very top end is the Aquos N9000 series, which will feature a Spectros quantum dot technology that Sharp says is capable of 91% of the Rec.2020 color space. It can also do HDR (based on the Open HDR spec), has an octa-core processor, and supports VP9 and HEVC encoding. In addition to the 70-inch flat N9000, a curved 65-inch option will also be offered.

Moving down the line you’ve the Aquos N8000, which is also a 4K TV. Available in 70 and 75-inch screen sizes, it’s equipped with HDR, full array local dimming (on the 70-inch model) or multi-zone edge-lit local dimming (on the 75-inch model), and wide color gamut support. Other features include AquoMotion, a proprietary backlight scanning methodology used for motion enhancement, a “dbx-tv Award Winning Sound”, 4K media player and receiver capabilities, as well as a built-in app store and web browser for seamless searching.

Completing the 4K lineup is the N7000 series and the entry-level N6000 series. The Aquos N7000 series is HDR-enabled, with screen sizes ranging from 43 to 70 inches. The biggest 70-inch model will be equipped with full array local dimming. The N6000 comes in 43, 50, and 55 inches.

With the Sharp TV brand name in the Americas now under Hisense, it’s unclear at this point if any of these new TVs will make their way here.
