Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar Mini makes do with compact living spaces
After launching its Ambeo Soundbar and Ambeo Soundbar Plus, Sennheiser has decided to launch a compact version for smaller homes called the Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar Mini today (26 September 2023).
The Ambeo Soundbar Mini is smaller than its two predecessors at 70cm in length and 6.5cm in height, making it the ideal size for an under-monitor configuration or bedroom TV layout. It packs six Class D amplifiers with a total 250W (RMS) output, split across four full-range drivers and two 4-inch subwoofers.
It retains the proprietary 3D sound available in Sennheiser Ambeo products, which we’ve tried here and here. Powering its 3D sound capabilities are four microphones for room calibration. These mics are also compatible with voice assistant commands via its built-in Alexa. If you use Google Assistant or Siri, you can still cast audio to the Soundbar Mini with built-in Chromecast and AirPlay.
Calibrating the soundbar works just like its bigger siblings. The Ambeo Soundbar Mini offers a one-touch button for a room scan for virtualisation, size, reflections, and textures to inform its audio tuning.
This compact variant also supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, MPEG-H Audio, and 360 Reality Audio — so you’re not missing out on all the core supported codecs in its bigger versions. Wi-Fi (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2 (A2DP, AVRCP, GATT) are available too. The soundbar’s operating system is compatible with content from Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, and Apple Music.
You can also add on optional Ambeo Subs to go with this variant too.
The Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar Mini officially retails at S$1,299 on the Sennheiser Hearing Webstore from 26 September 2023 onwards.
