For those who have been looking forward to more news on SEGA's Astro City Mini console, you'll probably be happy to know that we've got more than just "news" this time - the Japanese game giant announced earlier today that the long-awaited collectible console will be released on December 17 this year.

In fact, the console is already available for limited pre-order via sites like Amazon Japan and PlayAsia (while stocks last), although a local pricing (for those of us in Singapore) has yet to be confirmed. In addition to the release date, SEGA also tossed in 13 new titles that we'll be able to play on the console, on top of the 10 that have already been announced. It's certainly good to have more games on the roster, and what better way to spice up this list than by leaving the Caps Lock on?

  1. COTTON
  2. SHINOBI
  3. SHADOW DANCER
  4. ESWAT
  5. CRACK DOWN
  6. GAIN GROUND
  7. PUYO PUYO
  8. COLUMNS
  9. BONANZA BROS.
  10. ICHIDANTO-R
  11. WONDER BOY
  12. WONDER BOY Monster Land
  13. WONDER BOY Monster Lair

Along with the console itself, SEGA is also releasing the Astro City Mini Amusement Center Style Kit to go with it, so you can really have a working miniature of the famous 90s arcade machine sitting in your living room. Honestly, you don't get any more retro than that.
