Satechi has a USB-C clamp hub designed for the M1 24-inch iMac
The iMac has been around for a long time and one thing that Apple has quite nailed with its design are the ports.
Even with the redesign that we've seen on the 24-inch M1 iMac, the ports are still positioned in a tricky location – at the bottom of the screen and facing the rear.
Fortunately, Satechi is coming to the rescue with their new USB-C Clamp Hub that's been designed specifically for the 24-inch iMac.
It won't work with older iMacs because older models have curved rears that this hub cannot attach itself to.
As its name suggests, this hub clamps to the bottom of the iMac's display and connects to one of its USB-C ports.
Once it's in place, you get front-facing ports that are much easier to access. There's SD card and microSD card slots, three USB-A 3.0 ports (up to 5Gbps), and a USB-C port (5Gbps).
And as you can see from the image above, the hub doesn't impede on the iMac's remaining ports.
The Satechi USB-C Clamp Hub is available now through Satechi's website and it's priced at US$54.99.
