Samsung will make more money making parts for the iPhone X than the Galaxy S8

According to The Wall Street Journal, the iPhone X will be just as profitable for Samsung as it is for Apple.

Even more incredible is that Samsung is expected to make more money making parts for the iPhone X than it will for its own Galaxy S8.

An analysis from Counterpoint Technology says that Samsung will make roughly US$110 on each iPhone X. Samsung is said to be the sole supplier of the iPhone X's OLED display.

Apple is expected to sell around 130 million iPhone X's, which means Samsung stands to make around US$14.3 billion.

On the other hand, Samsung makes around US$202 on each Galaxy S8. But the Galaxy S8's global sales are expected to be around 50 million. This gives us a grand total of US$10.1 billion.

The report also has some other interesting tidbits of information. For example, Samsung executives are said to be alright with people using iPhones at their meetings.

The report says that executives would often tell iPhone users that  "It's OK. They're our best client."
