Samsung just announced yet another 200MP camera sensor.
Developed exclusively for China, the Samsung ISOCELL HPX comes with Samsung's Advanced Deep Trench Isolation (DTI) technology which isolates each pixel and boosts sensitivity for sharper and more vivid photos.
Under normal lighting conditions, the Samsung ISOCELL HPX can take 200MP photos. In low-light conditions, the Samsung ISOCELL HPX will use pixel binning technology to convert 0.56-micon pixels to 1.12micron pixels for 50MP image. For extreme low-light environment, the Samsung ISOCELL HPX can combine even more pixels into 2.24-micron for 12.5MP photos.
Other features of the Samsung ISOCELL HPX include 8K video recording at 30fps, dual HDR shooting in 4K and FHD, Smart ISO and Super QPD autofocus.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to sport a new 200MP camera with 1/1.3" sensor, f/1.7 aperture and 0.6µm pixels. Will the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in China use the ISOCELL HPX? Only time will tell.
